A WhatsApp Agent for Your Online Shop
Your customers already message you on WhatsApp. I build an AI agent that answers them on your own number, at any hour. It answers their questions from your product list, takes the order, and passes the chat to you when a person is needed.
What It Does
- It answers questions about prices, sizes, stock and delivery, using your own product list.
- It takes the order with the items, the name, the phone number and the address, and it asks the customer to confirm before anything is placed.
- It sends each order to you on WhatsApp and adds it to the sheet or system you already use.
- It understands Arabic, Lebanese Arabic typed in Latin letters, English and French. It also listens to voice notes and looks at photos of products.
- It passes the chat to you when a customer asks for a person or has a complaint, and it stays quiet while you reply.
Built So You Can Trust It
- The total on every order is calculated by the system from your product list, not by the AI.
- A link you did not give it never reaches a customer.
- It is set up to bring you in when a question is outside your product list and your rules, instead of guessing.
How We Start
- We look at the messages your shop gets today, and at what customers ask most.
- I set the agent up on your own WhatsApp Business number, with your products, your delivery areas and your rules.
- It runs for two weeks while we both watch it. We compare your numbers before and after, so you can see what it changed.
It makes sense for a shop where someone already spends hours a day answering messages, or where orders are lost because replies come late. A shop with a few orders a week does not need it yet.
Who Builds It
I am Ibrahim El Khansa, a Technical Product Manager in Beirut. At work, I built the first version of an ERP alone, and about 45 people work in it every day.
Before that, as a Process Improvement Analyst, I automated operations workflows. People messaged us every month asking what they were paid and why. I chose to answer that question in the payslip itself, which lists every deduction, loan and addition for each person in several languages. It took around six weeks. Once it was deployed, we noticed a major decrease in how many people texted back asking about their salaries. We went from 200 to 300 messages at the beginning of the month to less than 100 in the first month.
My own AI product is an assistant people talk to on WhatsApp. I built it for myself first. People around me wanted it, and it has dozens of users now. The shop agent is built on the same foundation.
The rest of my work is on Ibrahim El Khansa.
