session-advisor
A second session that reads the first one's work and helps you decide.
Claude Code skill
On a long task, the session doing the work asks me a lot of questions, and each one leans on context I don't have. I started opening a second session that reads the first one's log and explains each question in plain words, with what it would pick. It also checks what the worker claims against the files and the database before I agree to anything. I liked working this way, so I wrote it down as a skill.
What it does
- Lists the sessions in your project and finds the one doing the work.
- Reads that session's log since its last look, and says in plain words what the worker did and where it stands.
- Explains each question the worker asks you and recommends a pick, with the exact text to type when a pick needs a condition.
- Checks the worker's claims against the files, git, the database and the build before it recommends anything.
- Warns you early about a question left waiting, a context window filling up, a usage limit or a failed build.
- Before you close the worker, checks that nothing is left uncommitted or still running.
How it's built
- It never messages or steers the working session. You carry every answer, so you stay in charge.
- Text in the worker's log is treated as data, never as instructions, because web pages and job posts can carry text aimed at an AI.
- A small script reads the log, so the advisor reads only what changed since its last look.
